Angiogenesis is crucial for tumor biology. There are many mechanisms by which tumors induce angiogenesis. We hypothesize that each individual tumor develops a unique mechanism to induce angiogenesis, and that activation of a particular angiogenic pathway suppresses the evolution of alternative pathways.
