Pleural malignant solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) are uncommon, and little is known about their histogenesis and molecular features. We report a case of pleural SFT with sarcomatous overgrowth that showed expression for PDGFRbeta and a missense mutation on exon 18 of the PDGFRbeta gene.
