The occurrence of a point mutation on the 12th and 13th codons of the Ki-ras oncogene has been investigated in 99 colorectal carcinomas in relation to 3 histological parameters: extent of differentiation, occurrence of a mucinous component within the tumor, and presence of peripheral adenomatous polyp remnants.
