PURPOSE: Linkage disequilibrium mapping revealed allelic and haplotypic associations between single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the gene encoding the malic enzyme 2 (ME2) and adolescent-onset idiopathic generalized epilepsy (IGE).
