Vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein (VASP) is a major substrate of protein kinase A (PKA). Here we described the novel mechanism of VASP phosphorylation via cAMP-independent PKA activation. We showed that in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) alpha-thrombin induced phosphorylation of VASP.
