The oncoprotein Ski represses transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) and nuclear receptor signaling. To achieve this, Ski has been proposed to recruit the corepressor N-CoR to either the TGF-beta-regulated Smad transcription factors or nuclear receptors.
