Based upon phylogenetic relationships, the broad Y-family of DNA polymerases can be divided into various subfamilies consisting of UmuC (polV)-like; DinB (polIV/polkappa)-like; Rev1-like, Rad30A (poleta)-like and Rad30B (poliota)-like polymerases.
