The genes involved in the pathogenesis of Dupuytren's disease have yet to be identified. In this study, we tested for an association between Dupuytren's disease (DD) and a novel insertion polymorphism within the 5'-untranslated region (5'-UTR), of the TGFbeta(2) gene.
