Multiple sclerosis (MS) predisposition is thought to be influenced by a complex, yet unclear interaction of genetic and environmental factors. Studying ethnically selected populations may reduce genetic and environmental heterogeneities and help clarify the underlying mechanisms of MS susceptibility.
