Abstract excerpt
Using a novel isolated hindbrain in vitro preparation, we demonstrate that, in the mouse, branchiomotor activities from trigeminal, facial, glossopharyngeal and vagal nerves start during segmentation, a crucial and conserved period of hindbrain embryogenesis.
