Streptokinase (SK), expressed by Lancefield Group A, C and G β-haemolytic Streptococci and Staphylocoagulase (SCG), expressed by S. aureus, are bacterial virulence factors which belong to a family of proteins known as Zymogen-activator and adhesion proteins (ZAAPs).
