<title>Abstract</title> <p>HIF-prolyl hydroxylase inhibitors (HIF-PHIs) are used to treat anemia in chronic kidney disease. These drugs stabilize hypoxia-inducible factors HIF-1α and HIF-2α, which activate erythropoiesis and iron metabolism pathways.
