Parkinson’s disease (PD) is debilitating neurodegenerative condition that results in the loss of mobility and muscle control. A neuropathological hallmark of PD is the presence aberrant inclusions, known as Lewy pathology, of which α-synuclein (α-Syn) is a major component.
