<title>Abstract</title> <p>The human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genotype may influence in immune responses during the course of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). In this ecological study, we collected HLA genotypes from 4,148,713 Brazilian individuals and compared to COVID-19 data. We found a positive significant correlation between the HLA-A*01~B*08~DRB1*03 haplotype and COVID-19 mortality rate.</p>
