A. <h4>Background</h4> Hidradenitis suppurativa ( HS ) is a chronic skin disease. The symptoms can be severe, and include intensely painful nodules and abscesses in apocrine-gland rich inverse skin, such as the buttocks, under the arms, and the groin.
