<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> High-temperature requirement protease A (HtrA) is a family of serine proteases degrading misfolded and damaged proteins that are toxic to bacteria. The Lyme disease agent Borrelia burgdorferi encodes a single HtrA (BbHtrA).
