<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> Inorganic pyrophosphatase-1 (PPa1) is an essential enzyme proposed to limit accumulation of the ubiquitous metabolic byproduct inorganic pyrophosphate, yet its role beyond a general housekeeping function remains poorly understood.
