We reported previously that a protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) activity is associated with the immunoprecipitated hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) receptor, also known as Met. The activity increased reversibly when Met was stimulated by HGF and decreased when Met was inactivated by PMA.
