Hypoxanthine phosphoribosyltransferase-deficient (HPRT-) mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells, HM-1 cells (genotype XY), were fused with adult female DD/c mouse spleen cells. As a result, a set of HAT-resistant clones was isolated.
