2-Bromo-5,6-dichloro-1-beta-D-ribofuranosyl benzimidazole (BDCRB) is a member of a new class of benzimidazole ribonucleosides which inhibit human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) late in the replication cycle without inhibiting viral DNA synthesis.
