Abstract excerpt
The Candida albicans CAN1 gene, encoding a high-affinity permease for arginine, lysine and histidine, was tagged at its C-terminus with a c-myc epitope and introduced into strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae lacking basic amino acid permeases.
