The genotype for N-acetyltransferase was analyzed in five Japanese patients with isoniazid neuropathy by using the allele specific polymerase chain reaction for a single slice of the 30-year-old paraffin-embedded and hematoxylin-eosin stained sural nerve biopsy specimens.
