To obtain an expression vector that will optimize secretion of proteins with disulfide bridges in Escherichia coli, we fused the phoA gene, encoding the bacterial alkaline phosphatase (PhoA), to the sequence encoding the pectate lyase B signal sequence (PelBSS).
