We analyzed the nucleotide sequence of the luteinizing hormone beta subunit (LH beta) in a patient with an anomalous LH. This anomalous LH showed abnormal immunogenicity, but normal bioactivity, suggesting that this variance of antigenicity was caused by amino acid substitution(s).
