Vectors based on adeno-associated virus can stably transfer genes by chromosomal integration in recipient cells. In this study we have infected stationary and dividing primary human fibroblast cultures with adeno-associated virus vectors encoding alkaline phosphatase and neomycin phosphotransferase.
