We investigated the effect of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1,25(OH)2D3) on the expression of scavenger receptors in human monocytic cell line (THP-1 cells) treated for 24 h with 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA) which induces their differentiation into macrophages.
