A new mutant causing jaundice in mice is reported. Allelism tests indicate that it is not allelic with known hemolytic anemia mutants in mice [hemolytic anemia (sphha), jaundiced (ja), normoblastic anemia (nb), and spherocytosis (sph and sph2Be)].
