BACKGROUND: Bedlington terrier copper toxicosis (CT) is due to a homozygous exon deletion in COMMD1. CT also occurs in Bedlingtons lacking this deletion. An association with two ABCA12 single nuceotide polymorphism (SNP) splice variants was reported.
