OBJECTIVES: To test the hypothesis that genetic predisposition to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) increases the risk of cardiometabolic disorders. METHODS: Using 41 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with SLE, we calculated a weighted genetic risk score (wGRS) for SLE.
