The crystallizable fragment (Fc) of the immunoglobulin class G (IgG) is an attractive scaffold for the design of novel therapeutics. Upon engineering the C-terminal loops in the CH3 domains, Fcabs (Fc domain with antigen-binding sites) can be designed.
