BACKGROUND: Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors have various cellular effects that are associated with vascular protection. Here, we examined whether teneligliptin alters the pro-inflammatory phenotype of perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) and inhibits atherogenesis.
