In the last decades new therapeutic drugs have been developed for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) significantly increase the progression free survival (PFS) of patients with NSCLC carrying epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations.
