The Mycobacterium tuberculosis Beijing family is often associated with multidrug resistance and large outbreaks. Conventional genotyping study of a community outbreak of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) that occurred in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand was carried out.
