Mutations of isocitrate dehydrogenase 1/2 (IDH1/2) have been reported in gliomas and other types of tumors, such as acute myeloid leukemias, cartilaginous tumors, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinomas, osteosarcomas, and giant cell tumors of bone.
