BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is multifactorial, and the genetic background may be a crucial etiologic factor. Interleukin-27 (IL-27) is a novel IL-12 family member which plays an important role in antitumor immunity.
