Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is multifactorial, and the genetic background may be a crucial etiologic factor. Interleukin-12 (IL-12) is a multifunctional cytokine that induces interferon (IFN)-gamma secretion and plays an important role in antitumor immunity.
