Linkage mapping in a backcross of {Brown Norway [BN/Crl (BN)] × ZUC-Lepr (faSte) (ZUC)} × ZUC identified a male-specific quantitative trait locus (QTL) for urinary albumin excretion (UAE) on rat chromosome 1.
