The distribution of apolipoprotein (apo) E in rat hepatocytes was investigated with an affinity-purified polyclonal antibody raised against apoE isolated from hepatogeneous very low density lipoproteins (VLDL). The distribution of this antibody was visualized with colloidal gold complexed to anti-rabbit IgG.
