Protection of mice from lethal Sendai virus (HVJ) infections by a temperature-sensitive mutant, HVJpi, which was isolated from a carrier culture, was studied. HVJpi had a strong interfering capacity with the replication of virulent wild-type virus in LLCMK2 cells.
