The identification and characterisation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa KdsD (Pa-KdsD), a D-arabinose-5P isomerase involved in the biosynthesis of 3-deoxy-D-manno-oct-2-ulosonic acid and thus of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), are reported.
