Contrary to Total Therapy (TT) 2 for multiple myeloma patients, FGFR3- translocation bore no adverse effects on outcome in TT3 with added bortezomib. Del TP53, another poor-risk feature in TT2 and present in 10% of 441 patients treated, was examined for its prognostic consequences in TT3.
