We hypothesized that mitochondrial function regulates cell cycle checkpoint activation and radiosensitivity. Human pancreatic tumor cells (MiaPaCa-2, rho(+)) were depleted of mitochondrial DNA (rho degrees ) by culturing cells in the presence of ethidium bromide.
