PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Recent studies have revived interest in the long-scrutinized association between Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and multiple sclerosis (MS). We review this evidence and discuss it in relation to MS pathological and clinical features and patients' response to immunosuppressive therapies.
