Skin manifestations of lupus erythematosus (LE) are common and are a significant source of morbidity. Lupus-specific skin disease includes chronic cutaneous lupus, subacute cutaneous lupus and acute cutaneous lupus. These conditions have in common a lichenoid tissue reaction.
