Stimulation of GnRH receptors enhances expression of activating transcription factor (ATF) 3 in a pituitary gonadotroph cell line. The signaling pathway requires elevated cytosolic Ca2+ levels and activation of ERK and c-Jun N-terminal protein kinase.
