PURPOSE: The UDP glucuronosyltransferase 1A6 (UGT1A6) and cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) enzymes participate in the metabolism of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, endogenous substances, and carcinogens.
