Proliferation of rheumatoid and control peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) to an antigenic acetone-precipitable extract from mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTa) was investigated. Cells were also stimulated with the recall antigen tuberculin PPD (purified protein derivative) and the mitogen OKT3.
