Central nervous system (CNS) involvement is an unusual manifestation in multiple myeloma (MM). The molecular basis of CNS myeloma is poorly understood. MM is characterized by translocations involving the immunoglobulin heavy chain (IgH) locus and frequent 13q deletions.
