The Snell-Bagg hypopituitary dwarf mouse has been shown to be deficient in growth hormone, thyroxine, and prolactin. There are reports indicating that in addition to these neuroendocrine abnormalities, development of immune competence is also severely impaired in these animals. However, other studies indicate that the immunologic potential of these mice does not differ from their heterozygous littermate controls....
