Voltage-gated potassium channels formed with the cardiac subunit HERG and a polymorphic variant of MinK-related peptide 1 (MiRP1) exhibit increased susceptibility to the antibiotic sulfamethoxazole (SMX) compared with channels formed with wild-type (WT) subunits.
